All You Need to Know to Earn Your CCE
Join us for an informational DIALogue session that will arm you with the details necessary for you to successfully continue along the path to earning your Certified Chamber Executive (CCE). This DIALogue is free of charge to participants.
This one-hour DIALogue session will:
• prepare you for completing your application: calculating credits, gathering supporting information, preparing notebooks
• discuss the essay part of the application, including the formatting and how to select a topic
• explain the oral presentation and interview and offer suggestions on how to prepare for both
• provide you with examples of the exam and give you tips on how to prepare for it
• feature a Q&A with current CCE’s and Commissioners
Speakers
L. John MacMartin, CCE
President

John has had a number of prior lives, including as a planning consultant, a legislative aide to a U.S. Congressman, and a manager for a national franchise.
He has been the President of the Minot Area Chamber of Commerce since August, 1990. Prior to Minot he served as the Vice President of the Billings Area Chamber of Commerce, Billings, Montana. He has completed a six year course of study known as the Institute for Organizational Management conducted by the US Chamber of Commerce. He completed the Leadership Development Program and the Center for Creative Leadership program through the American Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE). He also participated in a program focused on Transformational Leadership in Chambers offered jointly by ACCE and the Aspen Institute. He is a past board member of the American Chamber of Commerce Executives, serves on the American Chamber of Commerce Certification Commission as the chairman elect, is a past-president of the Mid America Chamber of Commerce Executives and is a member of the ND Chamber of Commerce Executives and a past-president of that group.
John has had the opportunity to attend the National Security Forum, a part of Air War College, at Maxwell Air Force Base. In addition, he was a member of the 70th Joint Civilian Orientation Conference JCOC) which visited European Command locations in the fall of 2005.
Tracey Osborne, CCE
President

Tracey Osborne, CCE is the President of the Overland Park (Kansas ) Chamber of Commerce, a position she has held since November, 2004. She is responsible for the strategic direction of the Chamber’s membership, legislative and economic development activities.
With twenty years in the chamber profession, Tracey’s service prior to coming to Overland Park includes experience as President of the Edmond (OK) Chamber, Vice President of the Joplin (MO) Chamber, Director of the Joplin (MO) Convention & Visitors Bureau and Director of the Carthage (MO) Chamber of Commerce.
Tracey serves on the American Chamber of Commerce Executives Board of Directors and the Certified Chamber Executive Commission, where she is chairman. She has served as chairman of the Board of Regents of the Institute for Organization Management at the University of Arizona-Tucson and served on the boards for the Oklahoma and Missouri Chamber of Commerce Executives. She is past president of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Missouri.
She is a graduate of William Jewell College, Liberty, MO and the Institute for Organization Management, Southern Methodist University.
