The ACCE Comprehensive Dental Plan

ACCE offers members and their employees quality dental coverage through CIGNA Dental.  Two options are available – the CIGNA Dental Care plan (a new offering in 2005) and the CIGNA Dental PPO plan. 

Plan Provisions

CIGNA Dental Care (DHMO)

With CIGNA Dental Care, you choose a primary dentist from a large provider network. The plan is based on a Patient Charge Schedule that lists covered services and co-payments you pay at the network dental office, with many procedures listed at no charge. There are no deductibles, waiting periods, or maximums with the CIGNA Dental Care plan. This means you can start using the plan right away and you don’t have to worry about benefits running out if covered dental charges exceed a certain dollar amount. Specialty care is available at the same fees you’d pay a general dentist. And orthodontic coverage is available for both children and adults. (To access specialty care you need a referral from your network general dentist, approved for payment by CIGNA Dental.)

CIGNA Dental PPO

The CIGNA Dental PPO plan offers in- and out-of-network benefits, quick claim processing, caring customer service, an extensive national provider network, and specialty care with no referrals needed. Dependent coverage is also available. The plans may be offered to part-time employees at the employer’s discretion. Following is a high-level overview of the ACCE dental plan.

Save more when you visit network dentists

As a CIGNA Dental PPO member, how much you save is up to you! Network dentists have agreed to offer their services to our members at reduced contracted fees. This means you will have lower out-of-pocket costs when you visit dentists in the CIGNA Dental PPO network. If you visit dentists outside the network, you may be billed for the difference between the payment they receive from us and their usual fees.
